The national campaign for the recovery of the bodies of the martyrs held by the Israeli occupation, confirmed that the occupation authorities decided to autopsy the body of Qassem al-Abbasi and open an investigation into the circumstances of his martyrdom, likely to hand over his body to his family tomorrow.

This came a day after the family of the Abbasid martyr of the occupation authorities and settlers took full responsibility for the martyrdom of her son near the settlement of Beit El, east of the city of Ramallah in the West Bank.

For his part, the director of the field department in the Israeli human rights organization B'Tselem, Karim Jubran, said that the policy of investigations carried out by the occupation authorities in their crimes aims to blur the facts and can not be relied upon.

He explained that the organization, through its previous experiences with those investigations, realized that it aims to stall and block the way to any international investigation.

There was sadness and anger at the home of the Abbasid boy in the Silwan neighborhood after the announcement of the martyrdom of her son Qasim. She confirmed that what happened was deliberate murder and that the occupation and its settlers took responsibility.

Mokhtar asked the family, Moussa Abbasi, to autopsy the body in order to proceed with the legal proceedings, "because the killing and abuse occurred with premeditation and surveillance," and assert that Kassem "was killed in cold blood."

Mohammad Abbasi, one of the three survivors of the operation, recounts terrifying scenes of the night Kassem was martyred.

He added that a group of settlers attacked their convoy on their way to the northern West Bank city of Nablus, while trying to escape in a hurry, but were subjected to heavy gunfire by another group of settlers.
