In a notice unveiled Friday, November 23, the Council of State estimates that the company Vinci could claim between 305 and 425 million euros of compensation to the State, after the abandonment of the airport project.

This is a first estimate. Before the Minister of Transport, the Council of State has issued an opinion on Friday, November 23, on various issues raised by the abandonment of airport project in Notre-Dame-des-Landes by the government.

The court considers in particular that the amount of compensation, which could be claimed by the company Grand Ouest Airport (AGO), a subsidiary owned 85% by Vinci, would be between 305 million euros and 425 million euros.

In the same opinion, the Council of State also indicates that it is not the occupation of the Zad itself that has blocked the realization of the airport, but rather inaction, procrastination and retreat. of the State to put an end to this illegal occupation.
