Friday, November 23, 2018, an attempt to open a squat, on the port of Ouistreham (Calvados), ended in clashes between twenty people and the police. Two men will be tried Friday, November 30, 2018, for assault and battery.

Friday evening, a march in tribute to migrants was organized in the streets of Ouistreham (Calvados). At the end of this peaceful rally, around 9 pm, about twenty people decided to invest an empty building, located on the port. This attempt to open a squat failed.

The intervention of the gendarmes of the platoon of surveillance and intervention (Psig) led to clashes during which the police used tear gas. Three men, including a minor, were arrested for hitting four gendarmes, slightly wounded.

The two majors, aged 27 and 41, spent the weekend in police custody. Presented to the prosecutor's office, they were released this Sunday evening under judicial supervision. They will appear Friday, before the Criminal Court of Caen.
