A truck driver carrying flammable aerosols in the covered trench of the A11 motorway was arrested by the gendarmerie on Tuesday (9 October). Immobilized for two days, he left after having brought the vehicle up to standard and paid a fine of € 6,000.

This time, it is a truck owned by a Romanian company that carried 20 tons of flammable aerosols that is concerned. He crossed the Angers-Avrillé tunnel in the direction of Nantes-Paris, at 4 pm on Tuesday, 9 October, and was arrested by the gendarmerie.

Safety instructions flouted

In addition to the offense for which the consignment amounts to 3 000 €, the gendarmes realize "that no extinguisher is present on board the vehicle, and that the general safety instructions of this transport are not respected (No personal protection lot, no instructions in writing, to intervene in the event of an incident) ".

The driver, a Romanian national, was able to leave two days later after the vehicle was brought back to standard, and paid a fine of € 6,000.
