“By the end of the 2019 school year, we should receive Be-200 amphibious aircraft,” Kozhin said.

He noted that they are planning to operate as rescue and fire fighting aircraft.

"Our crews are prepared, and, most likely, we will show these aircraft at the Main Naval Parade in St. Petersburg," Kozhin added.

In late August, the deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Alexei Krivoruchko, announced plans for the department to conclude a contract for the supply of three Be-200 amphibious aircraft to the military.
