As stated in a statement issued by the alliance’s press service, Russia “developed and adopted the 9M729 missile system,” thus violating the agreement.
“We strongly support the US withdrawal that Russia significantly violates its obligations under the INF Treaty,” the report says.
NATO stressed that they are calling on Russia to “immediately return to full compliance” with the treaty.
"Now the preservation of the contract depends on Russia," - noted in the alliance.
Earlier, a group of US senators called on US President Donald Trump to refuse to exit the INF.
In mid-October, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Moscow had transmitted information about the 9M729 rocket to Washington, which they were allegedly tested at a distance.
Russia urged the United States to stop speculating on the topic of “Russian violations” of the INF Treaty.
