After the release of the Mueller report, while Donald Trump exults, the Kremlin is content with a minimal reaction.

With our correspondent in Moscow, Daniel Vallot,

The Kremlin spokesman cautiously reacted on Monday " we have not seen the report itself and we are not in a position to comment on it at the moment, " said Dmitri Peskov at the daily press briefing.

The Kremlin's "modest cheek" could be said, but in fact the conclusions of the Mueller report can only rejoice Vladimir Putin. They confirm the position taken by Moscow since the beginning of the case, Russia refuting any interference in the 2016 US election. The Mueller report shows that this interference was " created from scratch, by the media, the Democrats and the Russophobes "sums up on social networks the pro-Putin Senator Alexander Pushkov.

Changing relations between Moscow and Washington

And hope for Russia, of course, is to see Donald Trump finally released from these accusations and therefore not able to get closer to Moscow, but at least to start a thaw with Russia. " There is an opportunity to redefine many things in our relations " summarizes Constantin Kossatchev, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Russian Senate.

Moscow hopes to bring the relationship with the United States back to normal, but the goal will no doubt be difficult, as the gap between the two countries has widened in recent years.
