His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has urged the UAE, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to expand and diversify its relations with all friendly countries based on the principles of Trust and mutual respect, and common cooperation that serves peoples and their aspirations for development and progress, and building a better future for future generations, with security, peace, stability and prosperity.

His Highness the President and the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mohammed Bukhari, discussed the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and ways of developing them in various fields, in addition to a number of issues of common concern.

During the meeting held in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the visit of the President of Nigeria and his accompanying delegation and expressed his hope that it will contribute to furthering the relations between the two countries to a greater level of cooperation and joint action to achieve their mutual interests.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and President Mohammed Bukhari reviewed the opportunities and elements of the development of the cooperation relations between the UAE and Nigeria in various vital sectors, especially development, economic, investment and agricultural, to serve the common interests of the two countries and their peoples.

The two sides discussed developments in the regional and international arenas and exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual concern.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said that the UAE is keen to support all aspects that will develop relations with Nigeria and extend the bridges of effective cooperation with this friendly country for the benefit and benefit of the two countries and their friendly peoples.

For his part, the President of Nigeria expressed his happiness to visit the UAE, stressing his country's keenness to develop its joint cooperation with the State in various fields, in support of the efforts of sustainable development and construction in both countries.
