Berlin (dpa) - The number of attacks on asylum seeker homes has dropped significantly in the past year, but almost every other day, such an accommodation is attacked. This reports the "Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung", citing provisional figures of the Federal Criminal Police Office. Accordingly, until the beginning of December 2018, 143 crimes against asylum accommodation were registered nationwide. In 2017, there were 312. One reason for the declining numbers is that fewer refugees come to Germany and therefore many emergency shelters were closed.
