According to the newspaper, the incident occurred in the south-eastern part of Quito. As it is specified, the bus crashed into several standing cars, and then turned over.
The injured were taken to hospital.
Authorities began investigating the causes of the incident.
In September, it was reported that 11 people died as a result of tipping a passenger bus on the highway in Ecuador.
