“Today, the leader of“ Self-help ”, city mayor of Lviv, Andrei Sadovoy, submitted an application to the CEC to withdraw his candidacy from the election of the president of Ukraine,” the party’s press service said.

According to the mayor, this year Ukraine has the chance to choose a pro-Ukrainian "anti-corruption" president.

"The path that the country is taking now will lead in very dark times ... And so I took a difficult but very responsible decision for myself," the Sadovoy press service quotes.

The politician called on all voters to come to the polls on election day and to vote in order to ensure fair elections.

Earlier, Sadovy announced that he had withdrawn his candidacy from the presidential elections in favor of Anatoly Gritsenko.
