Shaima Abdullah Al Mansouri, 27, a PhD candidate in the field of transportation, seeks to achieve "a new achievement in which the state will take an advanced position in transportation by looking for ways to solve the problem of traffic congestion. Al Mansouri, who is currently studying at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom, said that she began preparing and completing research and scientific projects at the undergraduate level, linking them to transportation and its impact on the environment and health. She then specialized in this field in the master's degree in urban planning at the American University of Sharjah On how to solve the problem of congestion experienced by the state, like other tourist countries, hoping to become «the first UAE expert in the field of traffic congestion in the state».

Despite ongoing efforts to develop and implement projects that reduce congestion, it remains the main road concern due to the increasing number of vehicles, and specialists are looking for solutions, particularly the development of mass transit services and the expansion of their networks.

Al-Mansouri, who awaits her graduation in 2023, believes that the foreignness she has chosen to achieve her scientific and practical ambitions has played a major role in breaking the fear of living away from the family and relying on self-fulfillment in various tasks.
