In Mali, a massacre took place on the morning of Saturday, March 23, in a Fulani village in central Mali. Armed men and traditional hunters burst into the village of Ogossagou. According to concordant sources, more than 100 people were killed.

Cheick Harouna Sankare is the mayor of a commune in central Mali. Like others, upset, he describes the scene. Early this Saturday morning, armed men land in the village of Ogossagou, not far from the city of Bankass, " massacring dozens of Fulani civilians ."

Another elected representative gives details. The village chief, Amadou Belko Bari is " killed in front of his mother " who will, in turn, "executed".

A local religious leader, Bara Sékou, was also " killed ".

In fury, the assailants spare no one ... neither the women, nor the children, nor the young, nor the old, all of the Peul community.

And as if they were well prepared, when one group indiscriminately killed, another group of traditional hunters set fire to the huts.

In the village of Ogossagou, there is also a place where young armed Fulani, ex-jihadists or not, who wish to join the Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) process were stationed. Some, among them, have lost staggering lives.

According to corroborating sources, the last balance sheet reports more than 100 deaths.
