July 20 on the site of "Novaya Gazeta" was published material with a 10-minute video, in which people in the form of FSIN officers beat and insult a man. According to the publication, the prisoner is Evgeni Makarov.

The SC instituted criminal proceedings on the fact of exceeding the powers. On August 24, another criminal case was instituted after the publication of a new video of beatings of prisoners in the Yaroslavl colony.
