Romantic poems, emotional drawings and romantic writings are embraced by Mount Jess, the highest mountain peak in the country, at an altitude of 1900 meters above sea level in Ras Al Khaimah.

One of the mountain passers, of Asian nationality, wrote a poem in Urdu on the rock, and another painted a face to his lover, while the lover carved the image of two hearts pierced by arrows, expressing his love for the other party.

This is what the inspectors of the service "monitored" in the Department of Public Services in Ras Al Khaimah during their field tours in Mount Jess, throughout the year. Although these effects may have a high human emotion, they become a source of distortion of the tourist site in which they were left, causing a kind of visual contamination of other tourists.

Ahmed Hamad al-Shehhi, a consultant for the department, asserted that 500 dirhams were imposed on anyone who was caught painting, writing or coloring on rocks in the mountain, or on the retaining walls, as a list of violations of painting on walls and rocks, Calling on tourists and visitors of the region, of all nationalities, to preserve the nature of the place, and not to attack him.

"The observers monitor the daily environmental violations in Mount Jess, the most important of which is the writing of poems in Urdu, and engraving the signs of love and admiration, and painted the faces of girls and roses, pointing out that most of the poetic writings belong to people from India and Pakistan, They express their love for their wives and grandmothers living outside the country. He said that the idea sometimes attracts European tourists, writing their names and the date of arrival on the mountain from the door to commemorate the anniversary.

He added that the drawings and inscriptions contain lofty human feelings, but that their presence on the rock pages distorts the cultural landscape of the mountainous tourist area.

He added that the people of Mount Jess asians are the most committed to the violations of drawings and writing on the rocks, especially on the days of holidays and weekends, as they prefer to climb to the top of the mountain to enjoy the cold climate, while mountain visitors prefer Arab and foreign nationalities to rise in the winter, to enjoy the times Which leads to the spread of emotional writings in Arabic and English on the rocks at specific times.

He said that observers are forced to use diesel to clean the surface of the rocks from the effects left by many mountain passers, especially drawings, writings and colors lying on the rocks, in order to maintain the cleanliness of the public, and in order to aesthetic beauty of the mountainous region.
