The Libyan Human Rights Solidarity Organization called on the United Nations Human Rights Council to set up an international commission of inquiry to investigate gross human rights violations in Libya.

The Libyan Human Rights Organization justified its call for no confidence in the ability of the Government of National Reconciliation to conduct independent, impartial, thorough and transparent investigations.

It confirmed the existence of indicators and evidence that all parties to the conflict - including the Government of National Reconciliation - were involved in such violations, some of which were promoted for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The Libyan organization demanded that the mission of the International Commission of Inquiry be to identify individuals responsible for serious violations and to refer their names to the UN Security Council for listing on sanctions, in order to support the investigations of the Office of the Prosecutor of the Court.
