The Dubai Declaration on Early Childhood Development was launched by Dubai Cares and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Dubai in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation at the World Summit of Governments in Dubai in response to the growing scientific consensus that Early childhood growth can guide their mental and emotional paths throughout their lives, with significant implications for the economy and stability of their communities. The Dubai Declaration on Early Childhood Development identifies elements and approaches to a comprehensive range of services for young children and their caregivers, ranging from stimulation to nutrition to the way parents live. The Declaration also calls for supporting these approaches, through national policy, regulations and incentives, that will guide private sector investment, as well as state priorities in early childhood development.
