A young American was rescued Tuesday, November 6, 2018. He was trapped by the tide. He was helicoptered but his condition was not a concern.

Tuesday, November 6, 2018, around 17 pm, a young American of about twenty years, isolated by the tide, was rescued in the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel.

A site guide, witness of the scene, transmitted the alert to the firefighters who relayed at Cross Jobourg.

At 5:10 pm, the latter hired the Granville-based Civil Safety Dragon 50 helicopter and a light Codis 50 fire rescue boat.

The victim was hoisted at approximately 5:40 pm and taken in charge by the firefighters. His state of health was not worrying.
