Russian President Vladimir Putin was interviewed by 17-year-old Regina Parpiyeva from the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Thus, the head of state fulfilled the dream of a young journalist who, at the age of 8, lost her sight due to an extremely rare and poorly studied disease - opticomyelitis, also known as Devik's disease.

However, the first question was asked by the Russian leader himself. He asked Regina how her acquaintance with Moscow was, where she visited and what she did.

The girl replied that she managed to take part in swimming competitions in which she managed to win silver.

Putin congratulated Regina on this success, after which the interview itself began.

First of all, the girl asked Putin if he dreamed of becoming president and if he had ever regretted that he had become the head of the Russian Federation.

“I never dreamed of becoming president, I didn’t have such a dream and there were no such intentions. This happened due to a confluence of circumstances and a proposal from the first president of Russia (Boris Yeltsin. - RT ) ... It happened, ”Putin answered.

According to him, he never regretted this decision. In addition, the president said what day was the most memorable as the head of state.

"It is very difficult to say ... But the most striking events of this year were the presidential elections and the holding of the World Cup," Putin said.

He also said that he dreamed of becoming an astronaut, a pilot, a military man, and then there was a desire to work in foreign intelligence agencies. According to the President, he is very seriously interested in this profession thanks to books and films devoted to this subject.

“It seemed to me very important and very interesting, when one person, by virtue of his knowledge, abilities, love for the Fatherland, his readiness to achieve results at any price, can give himself alone such results that are important for the country as a whole and for millions of people, especially if this happens in conditions of special situations or war, ”explained the President of the Russian Federation.

He also noted that from such interviews he receives "additional forces for further work."

Another question Regina was devoted to the musical preferences of the Russian leader. Answering the question, Putin, in particular, listed the composers he loves - Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Franz Schubert, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Liszt, Frederic Chopin, Ludwig van Beethoven, Johannes Brahms and Antonio Vivaldi.

“Heavy metal for me is very difficult for perception, heavy, although any music is pleasant, if it is talented, it should always give rise to some positive emotions. I like modern music and the so-called popular classical music, but not very complicated, because you need to be a well-trained listener, but traditional classical works of the most beloved authors in the world - I love to listen to it, ”Putin said.

The Russian president also answered Regina's question about what he would like to receive as a gift for the New Year. At the same time, the Russian leader noted that this is a difficult question.

"The best gift would be the statement that this year, which we lived together with the whole country, it would be with a plus sign, that we, despite all the difficulties, and there are a lot of them, we not only overcame them, but also created conditions for the further serious development of our country and the support of people who need it, so that we have confidence that we are moving in the right direction, ”Putin explained.

According to the head of state, the most important thing for any person should be the realization that the year was not in vain, the movement is on the right path and it is possible to achieve goals. At the same time, he added that the New Year is "waiting for a fairy tale, a miracle."

“I would like, relying on what has been done in previous times, including the outgoing year, so that we could have full reason not to rely on a fairy tale, but on the fact that we will take the next steps in improving the life of the country so that this New the year has set us up in an optimistic way, so that it will be happy, prosperous for all - for you, for your family, for all, ”Putin said to Parpiev.

At the end of the interview, the President of Russia and 17-year-old Regina exchanged gifts. The girl presented the head of state with a dog-made toy. The Russian leader, in turn, is tickets for a concert of classical music and gadgets.

Finally, Parpiyeva called Putin “a great president and a very good person.”

“I think this is an advance. I have to work a lot to justify this, ”Putin concluded.

Fulfillment of desires

In December 2018, Putin visited the forum of volunteers in Russia, where he had a stand of the project “Dream with me”, in the framework of which anyone could fulfill the desire of a seriously ill child. The Russian leader took five envelopes in which there were letters of desire, and promised to fulfill them all.

A letter to the Dream of Me project was sent by Regina’s mother.

“To be honest, I would never dare to ask and ask myself. When I only started to dream of becoming a journalist, it happened at the age of 13, I told my mother about this desire, ”Regina admitted.

At the same time, the letter contained a request to “take an interesting and informative interview” from a famous person. The president said that he would ask the RT channel to work with the girl and help her find a person to interview.
