“On the part of various forces, actions are being carried out in order to put pressure on the bishops of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This is evidenced by a number of pickets and illegal actions at the diocesan administrations and the residences of the bishops of the UOC, ”Basova said on the UOC website.
He noted that all sorts of information about bishops is systematically published in order to discredit them, they are summoned to conversations in the SBU.
He expressed confidence that certain forces are trying to influence the decision of the clergy regarding participation in the “unification council”.
On November 13, the canonical UOC broke off communication with Constantinople.
