He stated that the SAR regards these statements as "a hostile, unprecedented and irresponsible step that threatens the stability and security of the Middle East and the whole world."
He also stressed that this position of the United States "has become a flagrant violation of the resolutions of the Security Council and the UN General Assembly on the Golan Heights, it has no relation to international law and the UN Charter."
On March 21st, Trump announced that the time had come to recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
The European Union said that the position of the bloc has not changed - it still does not recognize this territory as part of Israel.
