It is noted that a criminal case was initiated on the fact of the attack under Article 317 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer”).
“Taking advantage of the fact that the inspectors' attention was focused on checking the vehicles, they attacked them, using knives as weapons,” the department said.
As indicated, the police opened fire on the attackers, resulting in three of them were eliminated, and one was wounded.
One of the policemen was wounded in the torso.
