Interfax reports this with reference to the head of the National Center for Disease Control of the Ministry of Health of the Republic Amiran Gamkrelidze.

According to Gamkrelidze, measures are being continued in the country to stabilize the situation, but "the only way to stop measles is mass vaccination."

At the same time, according to the Ministry of Health, the incidence rates of “swine flu” (H1N1) in Georgia are falling: there are 186 cases per 100 thousand people.

Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor warned of an increase in 2018 in the number of cases of measles imported from Ukraine, from Georgia, Albania, Montenegro, Greece, Romania, France and other countries in this regard.
