The Algerian presidency announced yesterday that President Abdelaziz Bouteflika will present President Abdelaziz Bouteflika his resignation before the end of his term of office "set on 28 April 2019.
A statement issued by the Algerian presidency said that Bouteflika would issue "important decisions to ensure the continuity of the institutions of the state during the transitional period."
The resignation of Bouteflika and his final exit from the political scene is one of the most important demands of the Algerian movement.
