Health: Spahn wants to return to German immigrant physicians

Berlin (dpa) - Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn wants to reduce the migration of German doctors and carers to Switzerland and other countries with the help of new EU rules. It is clear "that these specialists are missing in Germany," he told the Swiss newspaper "SonntagsBlick". "Polish doctors work here, but they are missing in Poland." That could not be right. However, freedom of movement in Europe should not be fundamentally called into question. For years, Switzerland has been by far the most popular emigration country for German physicians.
