“There is a question for both the United Nations and the Security Council. It affects the world, ”he said.

He also clarified that, in his opinion, this step is unacceptable, as it will lead to an increase in the number of nuclear weapons and their development.

“It is unacceptable to revive the process of building up nuclear weapons,” added Gorbachev.

Earlier, Gorbachev criticized Trump for "lack of wisdom" in connection with his decision on the INF.

October 20, Trump announced the country's withdrawal from the INF Treaty. A number of countries have already expressed their opinion on this issue, in particular, the German authorities expressed regret over this decision, and British Defense Secretary Gavin Williamson said that London would support Washington in this matter.
