A fire ravaged the tobacco bar Ploudaniel (Finistère), near Brest, Saturday night. Firefighters have not yet found a body in the rubble. The manager is always sought.

The fire took place at 1:30 am, on the night of Saturday 27 to Sunday, October 28, shortly after the closure of the tobacco bar Le Campanella, in Ploudaniel (Finistère).

Injured and intoxicated by the smoke, the manager of the restaurant and bar, Jean-Yves Thépaut, has just been auditioned at the hospital of the White Cavalry in Brest. His wife, Joëlle Thépaut, 57, is still missing.

He told the investigators that after waking up, bothered by the smoke, he spoke to his wife, urging her to follow him as quickly as possible. He rushed to the ground floor and waited outside. In vain.

No bodies found

Joelle Thépaut has not since given any sign of life. Firefighters continue to secure the site and search the rubble. No body has been found yet.
