Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his confidence that his country is on the verge of achieving new victories and successes. This came in a letter published on the website of the Turkish presidency on the occasion of "Victory Day", which falls on the thirtieth of this month.

Erdogan congratulated the entire Turkish people on the occasion of the Victory Day. "I remember with great compassion, magnanimity and thanks to the leader of the independence war, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, and all the army members who gave us this victory.

The Turkish president stressed that the arrival of his country to its goals set for the year 2023 would guide Turkey and the entire region towards a better future.

He stressed that Turkey was fighting for all the oppressed and the oppressed, who had hoped for it today, and had held it in different periods of its history.

Victory Day and Armed Forces Day are a national holiday in the Republic of Turkey and northern Turkish Cyprus, marking the anniversary of the victory of the Turkish army, led by Ataturk, against Allied forces and invading Greek armies on 30 August 1922.

On this occasion, various activities and events are held in all Turkish states, embassies and diplomatic missions abroad.
