An electric transformer caught fire near Angers, in the town of Mazé-Milon, Monday, October 29. The company Enedis proceeded to the repair.

Firefighters were alerted around 7:30 pm on Monday, October 29, for an electric transformer fire, east of Angers. Very precisely located on the road of the Couture, in the commune of Mazé-Milon.

When they arrived, the fire was already extinguished. Relief workers took charge of a 57-year-old man, hand-burned. He was transported to Angers University Hospital.

Some sixty households are still cut off from electricity. Enedis is on site to repair the electrical transformer.

The reasons for the fire are unknown.
