Jean-Pierre Bemba, Moise Katumbi, Martin Fayulu and Adolphe Muzinga are far from being demoralized by the defection of Vital Kamhere and Felix Tshisekedi who withdrew their signature from the agreement less than 24 hours after having affixed it. They met in Brussels to revive opposition mobilization around Martin Fayulu.

With our Brussels office,

The five opposition leaders who maintained their signature at the bottom of the Geneva agreement chose to close ranks.

Meeting at Braine-l'Alleud on the outskirts of Brussels, Jean-Pierre Bemba, Moise Katumbi and Adolphe Muzinga wanted to appear alongside Martin Fayulu who remains their common candidate for the presidential election on December 23. The fifth opponent of the Geneva meeting, Freddy Matungulu, was sent to sign a joint statement to all five.

For them, the platform Lamuka, "wake up" in Lingala and Swahili, must continue without stopping the fight against the " dictatorship of Joseph Kabila ". All five adopt a moderate enough tone to denounce the defection of Felix Tshisekedi and Vital Kamhere because they call the two men to return to reason and join them.

Through this meeting they hope that the signal of their renewed mobilization around Martin Fayulu will create a real campaign dynamic, to make it the true main candidate of the opposition and give a real chance to the alternation.
