Thirty years have passed since August 8, 1988 when a democratization campaign against Myanmar 's dictatorship spread across the country. This day, called "8888", is a symbol of the country's democratic movement. The wishes of people were fruit by the fact that Aung San Suu Kyi's National Democratic Federation (NLD) who led the democratization movement for a long time got regime two years ago. However, many people are dissatisfied with the progress of democratization.

Students who toppled over the authoritarian regime started exercising in 1988. On August 8, various strata were added and developed into a nationwide movement. But in September, it was suppressed by the military.

At the Yangon University which was the base of the democratization campaign on the 8 th anniversary of the 30th anniversary, athletes of the time held the event. Mr. Min-Koon Nain (55), who was one of the leaders, said, "It's still a road, if the government listens to people's voice, we can make a better country."

Cooperation with the military is indispensable in peace and other ethnic minority peoples though NLD took power. Mr. Suu Kyi who can not take a strong attitude also said that "democratization is going down". Mr. Cocozy, 56, who was also one of the leaders, will advance preparations for the formation of a new party to scoop out dissatisfaction with NLD towards the general election in 2020.

Mr. Winchu (62), a female girl Winnuwoo (then 15) who was shot dead by security forces participating in the democratization movement reportedly told the Asahi newspaper that "Army has influence, democratization has halved I do not want to report to the girl in heaven as soon as this country really changed.
