In the Comoros, the situation is stabilizing in calm, in Anjouan. This Sunday morning, in the medina of Mutsamudu, the military were always present, but the inhabitants circulated as they pleased inside, the day after the end of the armed insurrection in the medina. The searches have not yet been conducted in the homes and no one can say if the insurgents are still there. However, those present here say that the searches will not do anything since the armed rebels have already left.

A peaceful medina woke up this Sunday morning, far from the sounds of bullets and the blockade she had experienced this week.

The inhabitants take advantage of this opportunity to walk in their neighborhood, even if, on this Sunday, almost no shop is open. It is true, however, that economic activity has resumed with the reopening of the port of Mutsamudu.

Until then concerned about the safety of property and people, the management had preferred to close the port, close to two entrances to the medina since Monday afternoon. No additional security measures have been taken.

The end of the clashes is recorded. Yet armed rebels have not been apprehended. We really know very little about them , but all the interviewees agree that they would have left in the night from Wednesday to Thursday.

At the end of the morning, a ministerial meeting was held to find a way out of this conflict, which was worthy of the governorate of Anjouan accused by the regime of being at the helm of this armed protest.
