Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has dismissed health minister Mohamed Abu Zaid Mustafa from his post and issued a decree yesterday appointing al-Khair al-Nur as health minister. He also issued several republican decrees on some government appointments. Issued by Bashir, which included:

1. A presidential decree appointing Al-Khair Al-Nour Al-Mubarak, Minister of Health.

2. Presidential decree appointing Essam al-Din Muhammad Abdullah, Secretary-General of the National Council of Ministers.

3. A presidential decree appointing Ziauddin Mohamed Abdelkader, Secretary-General of the National Archives.

4. A presidential decree appointing Abdul Munem Al-Sunni Ahmad, general supervisor of the National Secretariat of NEPAD.

5. Republican decree appointing Hatem Hassan Bakhit, Secretary General of the World People's Friendship Council.

6. Republican decree appointing Ahmed Abdul Qader Mohammed, Secretary-General of the National Council for Coordination of Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration.

7. A republican decree appointing the team of Professor Babeker Jabir Ahmed Kablou, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health.

8. A presidential decree appointing Professor Hassan Abuaisha Hamed as President of the Sudanese National Council for Medical Specialties.

9. Republican decree appointing Dr. Mahjoub Hamid Ahmad Fadlallah, Vice President of the Sudanese National Council for Medical Specialties.

10. Determining the appointment of Dr. Hussein Mohammed Yousuf Al-Faki, Secretary-General of the Sudanese National Council for Medical Specialties.

11. Republican decree appointing Majdi Abdul Aziz Al-Faki as Deputy General Supervisor of the National Secretariat of NEPAD.

12. Republican decree appointing Mohamed Hatem Suleiman, Director General of the General Authority for Radio and Television

13. Presidential decree appointing Ambassador Al-Obeid Ahmed Mrouh as deputy director of the Civil Aviation Authority.

Sudanese newspapers reported that major conflicts among the leaders of the Federal Ministry of Health led to the exemption of the minister and Undersecretary Issam Mohammed Abdullah from their positions.
