The news channel BFMTV Friday apologized for airing Bob Marley's song I Shot the Sheriff on Thursday night on the air, after the death of Sharif Chekatt, the author of the attack on the Strasbourg market.

The song sounded for about a minute on the air. During a special edition of the channel devoted to the death of Chérif Chekatt, killed by the police, the famous song of Bob Marley had resonated for a good minute on the air, around 22H21, which many viewers were moved on social networks.
