More than 80 weapons were seized and more than 20 people arrested in Marseille and in the department of Var at the beginning of last week. Large sums of money in cash have also been found.
Twenty-two people were arrested and 81 weapons were seized at the beginning of last week, in Marseilles and in the Var, in two investigations on arms trafficking, one learned from police source, confirming information of Provence.
Nine persons were detained in both investigations.
34,000 euros in cash
Tuesday, November 6, 19 people were arrested, especially in the northern districts of Marseille and Aubagne, and 66 weapons and 34 000 euros seized.
On Wednesday 7, three people were arrested in La Seyne-sur-Mer (Var) and 15 weapons seized in the second investigation.
