The visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Arab countries was rejected. Dozens of Egyptian journalists signed a statement opposing the visit. Tunisian and Algerian politicians also criticized it, stressing that the aim was to polish the image of Mohammed bin Salman and cover the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Dozens of Egyptian journalists said in a statement that the Saudi Crown Prince's visit to Egypt was rejected for humanitarian, professional, trade union and national reasons, as well as Khashoggi's murder, the Yemen war and the Saudi authorities' relationship with Israel.

"We do not welcome or welcome the Saudi Crown Prince in Egypt. We tell him and his hosts: Muhammad bin Salman's place is to be deposited in the dock with an international tribunal, not here in Cairo," the statement said.

Egyptian journalists criticized the silence of the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate on the visit of "the first accused in the murder of a journalist colleague" and attempts to cover them in Egypt, as they put it.

In Tunisia, Tunisian parliamentarian Imad Daimi called for action against the upcoming visit of the Saudi crown prince.

During a speech in Parliament, Daimi put up a banner reading "There is no hope and no mercy for the murderer Ben Salman in Tunisia."

He also expressed his rejection and his colleagues to visit Mohammed bin Salman, because of his involvement in crimes against humanity, saying that the aim is to "polish his image at the expense of the image of Tunisia."

In Algeria, the head of the Algerian Peace Society Movement, Abdel Razzaq Mekri, stressed that the Saudi Crown Prince wants through his visit a number of Arab countries, including Algeria, to cover up the campaign of arrests that affected his opponents and cover the killing of Khashoggi.

He added that Mohammed bin Salman hopes to exploit the economic situation experienced by Algeria and make it a "rice state," as he put it.

It is noteworthy that the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia began an external tour launched by the UAE on 23 of this month.

A statement issued by the Royal Court said that the tour was decided on the direction of King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, without specifying the countries included in the tour, but the German news agency quoted a diplomatic source in Riyadh as saying that Mohammed bin Salman will visit the UAE, Egypt and Bahrain for talks on developments in the situation in Yemen and ways The face of terrorism, the Iranian file and the course of the Middle East peace process.

In addition to the three countries, the crown prince is expected to visit Tunisia next Tuesday, a source in the Tunisian presidency said. Informal reports also suggest a possible visit to Algeria and Mauritania.
