De Jong remained with a time of 39.19 seconds the Russin Elizaveta Kazelina (second in 39.26) and the Italian Francesca Lollobrigida (third in 39.56).

Defending champion Ireen Wüst must immediately be in the pursuit. The Brabantse gave as number four more than half a second on De Jong (39,72).

The Czech five-time champion Martina Sábliková and the third Dutch participant Carlijn Achtereekte disappointed with the eleventh (40.95) and tenth place (40.91) and now seem no chance to win the final victory.
