President Donald Trump wants to visit the city after the assassination of Jewish believers in a synagogue in Pittsburgh. With his wife Melania Trump, he wanted to express the support of the American people and to mourn the people of Pittsburgh. This was announced by the White House spokeswoman, Sarah Sanders.

A 46-year-old right-wing extremist shot dead eleven people between the ages of 50 and 97 in the "Tree of Life" synagogue in Pittsburgh. Sanders spoke of "mass murder" and an "act of evil". She added, "Anti-Semitism is a plague for humanity." She emphasized that Americans rejected hatred and violence and believed in tolerance and respect.

Sanders pointed out that Trump appreciated American Jews and even had Jews in his family. That's how Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, descended from Holocaust survivors.

Critics accused Trump of fueling tensions in the US with his rhetoric. Before the assassination of the synagogue, a man had sent numerous letter bombs to Trump critics.
