This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak after talks with his British counterpart Gavin Williams.
He noted that the parties had made decisions related to the start of work on the training of marines.
“Already in January, a group of military personnel of the British Navy will arrive in Ukraine to organize interaction and plan joint exercises,” the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense quotes him.
According to Poltorak, the purpose of the visit will also be to determine the necessary material assistance to the Ukrainian naval forces.
Poltorak added that during the talks, the possibilities of accelerating cooperation across the spectrum were also discussed.
Earlier in Ukraine, they announced an increase in the combat capabilities of the Navy.
