RTA has adopted a number of innovative ideas aimed at developing the "Internet to Train" initiative to develop services for metro and tram passengers from various segments of the population, residents, tourists and visitors who come to Dubai from all over the world.

This came during a workshop organized by the TRA's Railways Foundation, in cooperation with Alcatel International Telecommunications Company, in the Governmental Innovation Laboratory of the Authority, located in Al-Sufouh area. During the workshop, a number of ideas were presented and discussed by the participants in the lab to produce 70 innovative ideas about developing the concept of "Internet trains" to achieve intelligent communication with trains and their infrastructure.

The director of the Railways Foundation, Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Younis, said that the lab also discussed the current perceptions of the future of Internet objects and artificial intelligence, dealing with some of the existing challenges and ways to address them.

The lab is in line with Dubai Government's support for innovation, and the TRA's plan is to foster a culture of innovation to ensure the success of all projects implemented to the highest international standards.

It is part of the Authority's commitment to organizing government innovation labs to develop performance through the discussion of innovative ideas that contribute to the creation of a work environment of a high level and outstanding in the Emirate of Dubai.
