The five members of the ruling Uri Party visit the United States on a four-night, six-day schedule starting on October 18, and conduct bipartisan congressional diplomacy.
In addition, Democratic Party leader Hong Young-pyo, Liberal Democratic Party's Kim Sung-tae, Right Future Party Kim Kwan-young, Democratic Peace Party Chairman Byung-Wan Jung and Justice Minister Roh Chan-chan will leave for Washington, DC via Incheon International Airport.
They plan to meet with US Congress, administration, business and think tank officials to convey our position on trade issues such as the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, the establishment of a permanent peace regime, and the imposition of high tariffs on US automobiles.
The five delegates will hold a press conference at the airport at 9 am on the day of departure to introduce the purpose and schedule of the visit.
