George HW Bush was buried in College Station, Texas, with his family. This was reported by a spokesman. The 41st President of the United States rests close to the presidential library named after him, alongside his wife Barbara, who died in April, and his daughter Robin, who died of leukemia at the age of just three.

Previously, Bush, who passed away last Friday at the age of 94, was honored to complete the funeral ceremonies in his hometown of Houston. In a funeral service, former Secretary of State James Baker honored his longtime friend as "one of the most distinguished presidents of our nation." Bush embodied the values ​​of his country.

"He had the courage of a warrior," said 88-year-old Baker, who served as Bush's foreign minister, in his speech. "But when it was time to be careful, he always had the greater courage of a peacemaker." During his speech, Baker had to fight tears again and again.

Family members and close acquaintances of the deceased attended the funeral service in St. Martin's Church in Houston.

After the service, Bush's US coffin-covered coffin was taken by special train to the Memorial Library grounds for the ex-president in College Station.
