The state of Istanbul has decided to provide around-the-clock protection for Turkish citizen Khadija Genghis, the fiancé of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was killed inside his consulate in Istanbul.

The Turkish Anatolia news agency quoted security sources as saying late Sunday that the decision to provide protection to Khadija by the Protection Division in the Directorate of Security in Istanbul, 24 hours.

Khadija wrote on Saturday to her fiance on Twitter after Saudi Arabia admitted his death inside the consulate and cited one of the verses of Surat al-Baqarah, "If you killed a soul, then you will die in it, and Allah is a way out of what you were keeping quiet." She wrote under it several issues, including "Saudi Arabia killed Khashoggi" and " Life story ".

Khashoggi disappeared on October 2 after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul to obtain an official document allowing him to complete his marriage to his Turkish fiancée.
