The Fima is celebrating its 11th edition under the leadership of Nigerian designer Alphadi, the African Karl Lagergeld, creator of this reference fashion festival on the African continent. For the first time, the Fima leaves Niger for the dunes of Dakhla in southern Morocco. The creator PathéO and Magic System came from Abidjan for the occasion as well as many stylists and creators from all over Africa. The first evening of Fima in Dakhla was a great success in a highly secure place. Twelve stylists competed for the prize for the best young fashion designer. Coming from Angola, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Benin, Ivory Coast, Algeria or Morocco, they presented a wide variety of collections. It was the young Moroccan designer Youssef Drissi who won the first award to the Ivorian Kevin Santony. The festival, which ends on Saturday evening, will present some thirty creators from Africa and the United States under the leadership of Alphadi, great organizer of these meetings of fashion and style.
