The Ministry of Education has directed that every headmaster of a public school at the state level, one of its teachers or administrators, be nominated for the position of "child protection specialist" within his school.

The ministry stipulated in a circular to distribute it to schools that the candidate for the position of "child protection specialist" be a citizen, that he be fully qualified, good behavior and not previously convicted in an offense against honor or trust, even if he is rehabilitated, Or a diploma in these specialties with at least three years experience in the field of child protection, in addition to passing the training program approved by the Ministry to qualify the child protection specialist.

The Ministry demanded that school principals be provided with the names of those nominated for the position of child protection specialist who meet the attached conditions by December 18, so that the Ministry can train and empower them.

On the other hand, Federal Law No. 3 of 2016 on the rights of the child, known as the law, affirms the right of the child to life, survival and development, and provides all necessary opportunities to facilitate it. The law also protects the child against all forms of neglect, exploitation, Physical and psychological violence, according to the official portal of the UAE government.

Smoking is prohibited in any public and private means of transportation, and in enclosed places where the child is located, in accordance with the law. The law gives the child protection specialist the right to remove children from their homes in the event of imminent danger. In less serious cases, the child protection specialist is entitled to visit regularly, provide social services and mediate between family members and children.
