Good Om Touk marks a historic victory of the Khmer Empire, the end of the monsoon and the inversion of the course of the river, a phenomenon unique in the world. RFI / Juliette Buchez

In Cambodia, hundreds of boats compete in races on the Tonle Sap River in Phnom Penh for the water festival. Marked by the collapse of a bridge that killed 300 people in 2010, the festival was canceled several years ago. Good Om Touk now finds its colors. This year, from November 21st to 23rd, millions of people are breaking the streets of Phnom Penh.
