The builders of the Crimean Bridge laid 11 of the 38 km (29%) of the rail and tie bars on the finished sections of the railway section of the transport crossing through the Kerch Strait. According to the information center "Krymsky Bridge", we are talking about the laying of tracks in both the Crimean and Taman areas of the 19-kilometer building.

“The pre-assembly of span structures — 160 thousand tons of metal — was carried out by more than 90%. 11 out of 38 km rail grids were laid on the finished sections of the bridge bed, ”the press release says.

At the same time, along with work on the Krymsky Bridge, 58 km of railway approaches to it are being built on the two shores of the Kerch Strait. All these elements of the transport infrastructure must be synchronously earned in December 2019.

According to the chairman of the board of directors of the company Stroygazmontazh (general contractor for the construction of the bridge) Arkady Rotenberg, work on the railway part of the transport junction is carried out according to the schedule and will be completed on time.

“Everything goes in graphics. Work on the construction of access roads and the railway part of the Crimean Bridge are coordinated. Today there is no doubt that the entire infrastructure - both the bridge and the approaches - will work, as planned, in sync, by December of this year, ”said Rotenberg.

He added that the construction of the railway part of the bridge and the approach to it from the Crimea involved more than 6,500 engineers and workers, as well as more than 500 units of equipment (of which 5,000 people and about 160 units of equipment - in the construction of the bridge).

A double-track 18-kilometer approach from the Crimea will connect the bridge with the railway network of the peninsula via the station Bagerovo, which is being reconstructed. It is noted that this section will include 27 artificial structures, including a bridge, a tunnel and five overpasses. In addition, 38 new buildings and the Kerch-South station are being built simultaneously with the highway.

The complex of construction and installation works - from the construction of the roadbed and the embankment under the future road to the reorganization of communications and communication lines - is carried out simultaneously along the entire length of the route, and the rails are laid on the finished sections with a protective layer of draining soil.

“The first kilometer of the main track has been completed, more than 1.5 km of station tracks are ready,” the information center reported.

In turn, from the side of the Kuban, the transport system of mainland Russia with the Crimean Bridge will connect the 40-kilometer section of the railway through Vyshestebliyevskaya station. The information center "Crimean Bridge" noted that the upper structure of the path on the Taman approach is already fully prepared. Work is underway on the construction of the station Taman-Passenger.

“163 turnouts were assembled and laid, over 2500 pillars and metal pillars of the contact network were installed. The degree of readiness of artificial structures, including bridges and overpasses, is from 95 to 100%, ”the statement reads.

We add that on Friday, January 18, a solemn connection (a combination of two opposite corridors) of a railway tunnel six kilometers from the bridge took place in the Crimea. Workers' brigades went to meet each other for several months, building a kilometer-long underground corridor for trains from the north and south.

The press center noted that in the course of work at this facility, more than 60 thousand cubic meters of soil were raised to the surface. Builders have yet to strengthen the tunnel vault and perform a permanent monolithic lining of the tunnel, as well as pave the tunnel.

A complex of facilities for its operation will be built near the tunnel, including a control tower, a fire extinguishing station, heating points, transformer substations and other facilities.

“We completed the collation of the northern and southern portals of the tunnel. This is the most difficult part of the work, its length is about a kilometer ... We plan that in the spring of this year the construction of the roadbed will be completed, ”said the deputy director of Stroygazmontazh for infrastructure projects Leonid Ryzhenkin.

The representative of the general contractor noted that in the summer it is planned to complete the laying of rail and tie grids, and in the fall to equip the approach with communication, centralization and blocking systems in order to fully open railway traffic on the site in December 2019.

The day before, on January 17, the press service of the federal state unitary enterprise “Krymskaya Railway” (KZD) announced the date for the start of sales of train tickets for trains across the Krymsky Bridge.

“The start date of the sale of train tickets is December 9, 2019,” the KZD reported.

It is noted that initially it is planned to launch ten pairs of passenger trains in the following areas: from Moscow to Simferopol, Sevastopol, Yevpatoria, Feodosia; from St. Petersburg to Sevastopol and Yevpatoria; also from Bryansk, Yekaterinburg, Kislovodsk and Murmansk - to Simferopol.

According to the existing estimate, by 2020 the passenger traffic of railway transport to the Crimea will amount to 2.6 million people per year, and by 2025 this figure should increase to 4.1 million passengers per year.

At the same time, in the eight months of operation of the automobile part of the bridge across the Kerch Strait, about 3.5 million vehicles, including 175 thousand trucks, traveled in both directions. The average daily traffic was about 15 thousand cars, exceeding the expected traffic intensity of 12-13 thousand cars per day.

The information center "Crimean Bridge" noted that since the opening of the transport crossing, more motorists used it than the Kerch ferry terminal for 2016 and 2017 in total (the volume of sea transportation for 2 years amounted to 3.17 million vehicles).
