The director of the department, Col. Ahmed Al-Deem Al-Naqbi, said that the administration received observations and complaints from drivers regarding the installation of a mobile radar device which they were driving at speeds lower than the speed of the legal road.
He explained that the Department will review all the mobile radar violations received by some drivers to verify their authenticity, pointing out that if the radar device to adjust the vehicles at legal speeds, this is due to technical defect in the radar. He added that in this case, all irregularities related to the regulation of mobile radar will be canceled at legal speeds. He pointed out that the administration reviews the violations daily, verifies them, corrects them and removes the irregularities without knowing the drivers, in addition to constantly maintaining mobile radars. .
He pointed out that the drivers' observations focused on the road leading from Al Ittihad Bridge to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Circle, where mobile radar controls vehicles at 81 km / h, while the road speed begins at 80 km / h. At a speed of 121 km / h.
He said that the speed of the road to vehicles coming from the bridge, "Kentucky" towards the former Al-Taima, starting at 80 km / h, and radar control vehicles at a speed of 101 km / h, while the speed of the road from the bridge "Kentucky" to the roundabout Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed to 100 km / h, and radar control at a speed of 121 km / h.
He pointed out that the warning signs are available on the road, and that the administration does not install any radar device, whether fixed or mobile or sniper without the presence of guidance boards warn drivers of vehicles with a radar and with the determination of speeds on the roads.
He pointed out that the administration has achieved in the past complaints of drivers about the speed of the Corniche Road, and found through the review that they are wrong violations, and that the driver is contrary, did not notice the speed of the legal road.
He explained that all internal roads in the emirate and traffic junctions at a constant speed of 80 km / h, and that the radar control is at a speed of 101 km / h, except the Corniche Qawasm, starting at the speed of the road at 50 km / h , And radar control at a speed of 71 km / h.
