"Break with the right-wing extremists in the AfD!"
AfD founder and ex-party leader Bernd Lucke has called on the moderate members of his former party to defend themselves against the right-wing extremists in the AfD.
Bernd Lucke, AfD founder and ex-party leader, has called on members of his former party to rebel against right-wing extremist party friends.
In an open letter to "the non-extreme right-wing members" of the AfD, he wrote: "The AfD had once plucked" courage to the truth "on the flags. From now the silence has become cowardice Break your silence Break! the right-wing extremists in the AfD, limit them and ask them to leave your party. "
Anyone who still has doubts about the sentiments of these party members, only the opinion of the constitution protection over the AfD must lead to heart. "Why do you allow the right-wing extremists to find a home in your country?" Is the letter of the economics professor. And: "If you are silent, you are complicit." Not only Holocaust deniers and skinheads are right-wing extremists, but also Germans who "rise above people of other origins just because they are not German."
Lucke calls: say where it stinks
Lucke had left the AFD in 2015, after he had been voted out as party leader. He founded the party Alfa, which is now called Liberal Conservative Reformer (LKR) because of a name dispute. Lucke is LKR federal chairman and European parliamentarian.
In recent days, he has received numerous angry letters from AFD supporters. The occasion was a "time" interview in which he had spoken out for the surveillance of parts of the AfD by the constitutional protection.
In his open letter suggests Lucke moderate AFD members, officials such as the Thuringian fraction leader Björn Höcke, the Member of the Bundestag Thomas Seitz, the Saxon State Parliament delegate Jörg Urban and the Brandenburg AfD parliamentary group leader Andreas Kalbitz again and again publicly to the party exit. He writes: "Keep order in your own house, by telling at least where it stinks."
