For a long time it was just rumors. But in November it was serious: The Spice Girls announced to be back together on stage. The dates of the tour through the UK are already known, from May it starts.

But "Posh Spice" Victoria Beckham will not be there, as she assured the "Guardian". She will not be on stage, not too short. "Not even as a hologram?", The reporter wants to know. "No, definitely not," says Beckham.

The decision was not difficult. The 44-year-old now works as a designer, founded her own brand and designed clothes for Reebok. "What I'm doing now is my passion and it's a full-time job," she said.

She was still excited to see the concerts. "I am sure that when I am with them and they are on stage, a part of me will feel excluded." Part of her will always be a Spice Girl.

Spice Girls: friendship never ends

Most recently, the Spice Girls appeared together in 2012 - at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games. After that, there was supposed to be radio silence. Only in February 2018, the five women should have seen each other again.

Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Geri Horner (formerly Halliwell) and Emma Bunton met in the home of bath member Horner in London. Then everyone published the same picture, which showed them smiling happily, arm in arm. Rumors of a comeback followed promptly.

At that time it was said that contracts had already been signed and each of the women should earn around 11 million euros in the comeback. A short time later, however, Victoria Beckham denied. "I do not go on tour and the girls do not go on tour," she told fashion magazine Vogue.

The Spice Girls were founded in 1994. Two years later they succeeded with "Wannabe" the breakthrough. For a tour through Europe and the USA, the singers came together again in 2007 and 2008. They are considered to be one of the most commercially successful women's bands in history with 85 million records sold.
